George C. Perea

Perea, George C. Jr. Age 84, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, January 23, 2014. Born in Bernalillo, NM on October 28, 1929 to George Perea Sr. and Lupita M. Montoya. George was a lifelong resident of Bernalillo, NM and loved to fish New Mexico Rivers and lakes. He spent many years driving trucks and he will be greatly missed. George was a proud Army veteran, a devoted, loving husband and a great man to be around. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Mathew Perea; sister, Lucy Sandoval; wife, Dena Perea; and first wife, Gala Perea. He is survived by his children, George (Francie) Perea, Brian (Marci) Perea; grandchildren, Crystal Perea, Chris Perea, Dedra Perea, Donavee Perea, Mireya Herrera; and great-grandchild, EJ Perea. We would like to give a special thank you to Janie Gurule, his caregiver, for showing such compassion and kindness towards our father. A Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2014 with a Rosary to follow at 7 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services Wyoming Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 10 am, also at Daniel Wyoming Chapel, with the Burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 pm.
