George Brinton Rombold, Jr.

October 21, 1930 — June 10, 2010

ROMBOLD - George B. Rombold, Jr., a figure in many local no-profits, passed away on June 10th at 79 years old. He is survived by his daughter and husband, Millie and Bill Peifer, his son and wife, George and Lori Rombold, his sister and husband Dolores and Larry Stream, his brother, Paul Rombold and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Albuquerque in 1962 to become the first full-time Youth Director at St. Paul Lutheran Church, later working for Rainbo Baking Co. After retiring his focus shifted to humanitarian and social issues, serving as Treasurer for both Albuquerque Pride and the Allan C. Peifer Memorial Foundation and he was the Founder of The Littlest Angels. He was a Board member, Administrative Assistant and Lay Preacher, at Metropolitan Community Church of Albuquerque, 1103 Texas NE (87110), where his memorial service will be held at 2 PM on July 17th. The family requests that attendees wear their favorite rainbow color. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MCCA. Cremation was handled by Daniels Family Funeral Services.
