George Dennis Vallejos

VALLEJOS-George Dennis Vallejos, 58, loving father, brother and friend, went home to be with our Lord on Friday August 13, 2010. George was born August 11, 1952 in Albuquerque, NM. George is survived by his loving children Destinie Vallejos, Wyatt Vallejos and Isaac Vallejos; his sister JoAnn Bingham and husband Robert; nephew Cindo Griego and wife Marlene; niece Aurora Griego and special God daughter Elena Greigo-Sanchez. George is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Aurora Vallejos; and one brother Willie Vallejos. George was a teacher at Washington Middle School for over 20 years where he taught math, science, social studies and bilingual education. He himself was successful in earning a masters degree from the University of New Mexico in bilingual education. George loved teaching and was fond of all of his students. George enjoyed playing guitar, card games, fishing, hunting and art. Most importantly he loved spending time with his children. George also enjoyed listening to different types of music. He was also known for being a great story teller. George left a lasting impression on every one who knew him and changed many lives through his teachings. George will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A Visitation will take place at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco S.W., Friday August 20, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday August 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers are Cindo Griego, Robert Chavez, Ron Garner, Bobby Reyes, Bryon Gabaldon and Michael Atler.
