Geraldine "Gerry" Harner

Geraldine E. Harner (Gerry), Albuquerque resident since 1978, passed away January 12, 2018. Born in Lancaster, PA on Oct. 31, 1926, she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years and one brother. She is survived by two brothers and one sister; children Bob Harner III (Jima) and Joan Cole (Mike); grandchildren Adrienne Burrows, Rebecca Bates and David Cole; great-granddaughter Macy Burrows.

Gerry was a lifetime manager of her home and very active member of Rio Grande Presbyterian Church, serving as elder, deacon and children’s Sunday School teacher. She loved reading and going on adventures. A loving woman to both family and friends, she was never without a smile on her face.

Services for Gerry are Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 at 11 AM at Rio Grande Presbyterian Church, 600 Coors Blvd NW, ABQ, Pastor Linda Roberts-Baca officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Rio Grande Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, PO Box 66498, ABQ 87193 or Presbyterian Health Care Foundation c/o Cancer Care Resource Center, PO Box 26666, ABQ 87125.

The family expresses sincere thanks to Dr. Sara Jordan and staff and the 6th floor nurses at Presbyterian Hospital Rust Center for their loving care of our mother.
