Gilbert G Ramirez

Ramirez " Gilbert Ramirez, age 82, was called to be with God on July 23, 2010. Born in Veguita, NM on February 18, 1928 he was raised in Albuquerque. His mother Angelina, his son Rick, and his daughter Toni preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Margarita Ramirez; his children Lynn (Paul) Gonzalez of Corpus Christi TX; David (Carol) of Lakeland FL; Ernie (Nancy) of Albuquerque; sister Louise (Don) Kuncl of Ellicott City MD; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; plus many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and compadres. He worked at Sandia National Labs until his retirement. He and Margarita were founding members of Queen of Heaven Parish. Devoted to his family and friends, Gilbert always had a kind word for every person he met and laughter in his voice. A Rosary celebrating Gilbert will be on Thursday July 29, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Daniels Carlisle Chapel. Services will be celebrated on Friday July 30, 2010, 10:00 am, at Queen of Heaven Church, 5311 Phoenix NE. Internment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Boulevard, NE.
