IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gillian-Rose Francis
Hagarty
July 15, 2008 – February 7, 2026
Gillian-Rose Hagarty, age 17, was received into the arms of her Savior on February 7, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on July 15, 2008, in Landstuhl, Germany, to Paul and Tiffany Hagarty.
Gillian-Rose, lovingly known as “Gills” by her friends and family, attended Volcano Vista High School and was a student with Classical Conversations at the El Rio Campus. She participated in the Dolphins, Lobo, Beast and Volcano Vista Swim Teams. She participated in Girl Scouts and faithfully volunteered at Sagebrush Church, serving with first graders and participating in mission work.
She is survived by her loving parents, Paul and Tiffany Hagarty of Albuquerque, NM; her brother, Prince Hagarty of Albuquerque, NM; her sister, Nieraiz Hagarty of Albuquerque, NM; and her brother, Brandon Hagarty of Florida. She is also survived by her grandparents, Gary and Gail Slater of Broken Arrow, OK, and her grandmother, LaVonne Hagarty of Yakima, WA. Additional surviving family members include her aunt Teresa, uncle Shawn, and cousin Devon Hagarty; her uncle and aunt Paul and Jean Lopez of Broken Arrow, OK; her uncle and aunt Lamont and Anne of Florida; and her uncle and aunt Duane and Julene of Washington; and her uncles Ted and Jeff Lopez.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Julius and Harriet Leatherman; her grandfather, James Hagarty; and her aunts, Teresa Anderson and Kim Perish.
From the moment Gillian-Rose flashed her big, beautiful blue eyes at the world, she was a source of joy and delight to her family and friends—from Germany, to Utah, to Korea, and finally to Albuquerque. With her blonde curls bouncing around her, she embraced life as a grand adventure—whether rock climbing, swimming the mile, or standing in the middle of a lake waiting patiently for the fish to bite. Gills was an electric daughter, lighting up every room with her great-grandmother’s wit, her father’s insight, and the Lord’s heart. She is now safe and secure in the arms of her merciful and loving Savior.
Services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Church, 900 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
