Glen Robert Sidlo

Glen Robert Sidlo, 40, died of cancer Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at his home in Farmington. His loving wife, Sara, and other family members were by his side as he went to his heavenly home. Glen was born May 24, 1968, in Minneapolis and grew up in Kerrick Township (Oak Lake Farm), Pine County, Minnesota. He graduated from Askov High School in 1986. He lived and worked in Minneapolis before moving to Lakewood, Colo. Glen and Sara (Moffett) met in Colorado and were married June 8, 2004, in Girdwood, Alaska, and later lived in Anchorage. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, camping, traveling, and outdoor photography. His strength, wisdom, sense of humor, and faith in Jesus Christ are an inspiration to all who know him. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Robert (Bob) and Carletta (Letty) Sidlo; and brother-in-law, Joseph (Joe) Berglund. He is survived by his wife, Sara; three siblings, Kyle (Val) Sidlo of Maple Grove, Minn., Lynn (Steve) Vongroven of Sturgeon Lake, Minn., and Lisa (fianc�?© Dave McCorison) Berglund of Sturgeon Lake; nieces and nephews, Jacque, Kate, Jessica, Matt, Brett, Clint, Kirk, Jordan, Austin, and Joshua; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Linda Moffett of Farmington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sherry and Aaron Blackmon of Houston, Texas, Susan and Ron Hardman of Colorado Springs, Colo.
