Jan 7, 1943 - Oct. 24, 2011 Glenita Kay Baker, 68, of Aztec, died on Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, in Aztec. She was born Jan. 7, 1943, in Pauls Valley, Okla., to Wayne Addison Nation and Jesse Faye Nation. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wayne Nation; and nephew, Paul Edward Nation.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Jimmy Dee Baker; daughters, Cynthia (Mark Rislove) Baker, Phyllis Rowden, Cecily (Brandon) Sutton and Jill (Salty) Cox; brothers, Paul Nation and Windell Crossland; sisters, Rita Crossland, Connie Smith and Ginger Nation; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at Bethel Baptist Church, 201 Heiland Road in Aztec, with Pastor Benny Cogburn officiating.
Interment will follow the services, at Memory Gardens, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington.
Pallbearers are Paul Nation, Salty Cox, Brandon Sutton, Daniel Nation, Josh McDaniel, Colton Blaylock, Jordan Wilson and Dune Stephens. Arrangements are with Cope Memorial Chapel of Aztec, 405 S. Main Ave., (505) 334-9332.
