Our beloved Gloria passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, April 14, 2023.  

 

She was born on February 27, 1925 in Tokay, New Mexico. After graduating high school in Socorro, Gloria attended business school in Santa Fe. She then moved to Albuquerque where she spent the rest of her life with her beloved husband and family.

 

She was preceded in death by Andy Crespin, husband of 69 years, parents Pricilla and Geronimo Olguin, son Dennis Crespin, brothers Roy and Jerry Olguin. Gloria is survived by her daughters Kathy Wood and companion Brian Cox, and Theresa Crespin and husband Gary Dalton, sister Marie Olguin, grandson David Wood, granddaughters Kori Tumlinson and Holly Dalton, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

For most of her career, Gloria worked as a bookkeeper but ended her career as vice president for a car dealership. She is mostly know for her many creative talents: sewing, quilt making, ceramics, crocheting and crafting of all kinds. Gloria made an impact on so many people. She had a joyful presence and a bubbly personality. She loved her friends and family and filled her home with warmth and kindness, serving her community and church regularly. Her dedication to her church was ever present in her life, even until death…praying the rosary and attending mass daily.

 

A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM, Wednesday, April 26 with Mass following at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Interment will follow at 2:30 at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
