Gloria M. Walker

WALKER-Gloria M. Walker, age 69, peacefully entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family at home in Albuquerque, NM, January 9, 2011 after battling cancer. Gloria was born on July 1, 1941 in Elizabeth, NJ and grew up in Newark, NJ. Gloria graduated from Kean University-Union, NJ with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education; she went on to educate the youth of Newark, NJ. She is survived by her son, Winston M. Walker of North Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Elizabeth A. Walker; daughter Elayne M. Florek and husband Keith P. Florek of Albuquerque, NM, one grandson, Austin P. Florek of Albuquerque, NM; and a host of friends and loved ones in New Jersey. Gloria will be remembered for the love she showed to all, her dedication as a mother, a teacher, and a friend. She will be missed by all, never forgotten, eternally loved, and those who were privileged to know her will carry her in their hearts forever. No services are pending.
