Gracen Fuentes

April 4, 1941 — January 10, 2022

Gracen Fuentes, age 80, passed away on January 10, 2022. He was born on April 4, 1941, in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Leo and Helen Fuentes. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Leo Jr. and Albert, and his sister Dorothy Griego. He is survived by his sister Alice Valencia; his longtime companion, Carol; his ex-wife Virginia Novallo and their children Linda Fuentes, Randy Fuentes, Brenda Fuentes, and Toby Fuentes; and his two children Rosanne Pease and Chris Cole. He has 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In his glory days, Gracen was an All-State basketball player for Albuquerque High School in 1959.

The family appreciates the care he received for the past three years at the Sandia Ridge Nursing Home and would like to thank the staff.

Following cremation, private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Gracen’s name to Joy Junction in Albuquerque.
