Greg J Sanchez, age 45, passed away on June 4th, 2024, surrounded by his family, to begin his eternal journey with Our Lord. He was born on December 9th, 1978, in Albuquerque, NM. Greg is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as his Uncle Ray Cragun of Rio Rancho. He is survived by his three sons: Mateo and his mother Korey Zimmerman, Darion, and Damion Sanchez and their mother Tracy Sanchez; his parents, Rita and Greg Sanchez of San Antonio, NM; his sister Kelly and her husband Troy of Rio Rancho, and sister Nicole and her husband Damian of Albuquerque . He is also survived by his five godchildren- Joshua, Joseph, Marcus, Sean Easton and Jasmine as well as numerous other family members and friends who held him dear.
Greg spent his formative years in San Antonio, NM, and later resided in La Joya and Los Lunas, NM. He held a deep love for his family and his boys, who will sorely miss him as a son, father, and brother. Greg had a passion for the outdoors, particularly enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, spending time at the lake, and working in his shop and yard. He was known for his strong work ethic, his love for entertaining family and friends at his home, and his vibrant presence at every gathering. Greg dedicated his career to the HVAC business, operating his own successful business for many years and building a loyal clientele across multiple counties who will miss him and his exceptional work. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A church service in honor of Greg will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta, NM, on Friday, June 14th. The visitation will commence at 10:30 am, the Rosary will be held at 11:30 am, continued by Mass. Following the services, the family extends an invitation to a reception at 1:30 pm at S & J’s, 544 Main St NW, Los Lunas, NM 87031.
