Gregoria Lucero Chavez

Gregoria Lucero (Goya) Chavez, beloved Mother and Grandmother went to be with Our Lord on May 27, 2022. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose B. Chavez and parents Melicendro and Elvida Lucero. 

Gregoria is survived by her children, Elivira Cadena, Dick Chavez and wife Evelyn, Linda Montano and husband Joseph. She had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. 

We will miss her spice for life, unending strength and deep love for her family. 

Mom loved working in her yard, swimming, cooking and gathering with her family. We went on many great vacations with Aunt Stella and Uncle Marvin. Mom loved to travel and could make friends with anyone.

We will miss her strong will – because she was the BOSS.

Thank you to Marty Martinez and his family for being so good to Mom and including her on your family gatherings. Special thanks to Lifespire Assisted Living and Memory Care for taking such good care of Mom and of us during this hard time.  

Be in your Glory Mom! Be with Daddy, Grandpa and the rest of your family.  Until we meet again -watch over us just like you did all your life.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 6:00 PM at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. A Rosary will be recited Thursday, June 23, 2022 followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will be Friday, June 24, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM.
