Gregory Williamson Windsor passed away peacefully on September 11, 2023 at the VA Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Greg was born to Meridithe (Conant) of Marblehead, Ma. and Michael Windsor of Malden, Ma. on April 21, 1973.
In 1991, Greg graduated from El Dorado High School, in Albuquerque, N.M. During his high school years, Greg was an active member of ROTC. As a result, upon graduation, Greg enlisted in the U.S. Navy, completed basic training at the Great Lakes Navy Boot Camp and became an Electronics Technician. While in the Navy, Greg travelled extensively throughout the Middle East, New Zealand and Australia. Upon leaving active duty, Greg served two years in the Naval Reserves.
Greg attend ITT Tech and received an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. He used his degree to become a corrections officer and worked at MDC, the Santa Fe County Detention Center and the New Mexico Regional Corrections Center.
Greg loved scuba diving, gunsmithing and playing with his mom’s Arabian horses. He was a bright light, a kind and loving person who is greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Greg is survived by his mother, Meridithe Conant of Edgewood, N.M., his brother and sister-in-law, James and Susan Windsor of Rio Rancho, N.M. and a cousin, Beth Cook, of Marblehead, Ma.
The family will be holding a private service at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, N.M.
