Grandma Honey

Chris

It is with a broken heart that we share the news that Chris Marino, 89, went home to the Lord suddenly on Friday, February 23, 2024. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a great-great grandmother. Chris was our family’s rock and was loved by all.

Momma (Grandma Honey – Chris) influenced many hearts as she was a true example of purity, compassion, kindness, and love. She was a true Angel on earth. A person that always gave us advice, told us to be humble and sincere, be kind to all and always make good choices. She loved with her heart and soul, and never had favorites. To her everyone was equal no matter what. She only saw good and kindness in every person she met and knew. Momma (Grandma Honey – Chris) is now an Angel in heaven and will always shine her light on us and protect us.

Chris loved watching her granddaughters and great grandchildren play sports. There was not a time that she would miss a game. Just the day before she passed, she asked when Damian’s first baseball game was. She was so excited that his games were going to begin in March.

Chris loved her Bingo and Casino. She would call and say, “Do you want to go to the casino?” Chris met and had many friends at the casino and everywhere she went people fell in love with her.

Chris always prayed the Rosary every night at 7:30 without fail.

Chris was survived by her late husband Claudio Marino of 53 years. She leaves behind her beloved daughter Margie Aragon and husband David Gerald Aragon. Granddaughters Claudette and husband Frank Archuleta, Amanda and husband Virgil Romero. Great-Grandchildren Diego Archuleta and girlfriend Xaviana Escobar, Desirae Archuleta, Mia Romero and Damian Romero. Great-Great Grandchild Emiliano Ray Archuleta. Deceased siblings, Edwina Maes, Elvira Gomez, Rumaldo Ortega, Tony Jaramillo. Living siblings, Clovis Jaramillo, Gonzalo (Leon) Jaramillo and his wife Mary Rita Jaramillo.

Rosary and Mass Services for Chris Marino will be held at The Most Holy Rosary Church located at 5415 Fortuna Rd, NW on Wednesday March 6, 2024. A Rosary will begin at 10:15 am with a mass service immediately after. A reception will follow in the parish hall.
