Gustavo Mendez

Gustavo Mendez, age 76, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 14, 2023. He was surrounded by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Gustavo was born on November 18, 1946, in Cd. Madera, Chihuahua Mexico to Santiago and Cleotilde Mendez. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 7 of his siblings.

Gustavo is survived by his wife of 56 years, Emma Mendez, children Anna, Claudia, Lorena, Gustavo Jr, and Miriam, 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Siblings, Leonel Mendez and Dora Mendez and numerous nephews and nieces and extended family members. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Gustavo dedicated his life to being a pastor for 40 years. In that time he loved his ministry and brought many to Christ. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling and singing. He accomplished one of his many dreams of recording a CD. We are going to miss our "Tata."

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Daniels – Sara Chapel 4310 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 starting at 12:00 pm, with services at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park.

He will be dearly missed by all.
