Guy Richard King

KING - Guy Richard King, 83, resident of Rio Rancho, NM for more than 30 years, died on Thursday, September 10, 2010. He was born on December 28, 1926 in Hillsdale, Pennsylvania. Guy is survived by his devoted, loving wife, Dorothy of 62 years, also his loving children, Carol Butler and husband Ken, residing in Greenoak, Pennsylvania and Gloria King of Tuscon Arizona. He will be greatly missed by his two grandchildren, Lee Samuel Butler and Michele “Chelly” Daniele King. He was a devoted Christian and active parishioner of the Paradise Hills United Methodist Church. He earned his college degree from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania and served in the United States Army during WWII. He then owned and managed his King Tire and Service Station for many years. It is also important to mention that Guy received wonderful health care through Presbyterian Hospice. Although Guy was surrounded by family and church family, the most loyal of his friends was Ray Farmer of Rio Rancho, NM and college roommate Richard Kelso of Scottsdale, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, any donations should be made to the church in memory of Guy R. King. A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Paradise Hills United Methodist Church, 4700 Paradise Boulevard, NW, Albuquerque, NM, led by Pastor Reverend David Snyman.
