Harold Jacob Knoell, 78, passed away on April 14th in Albuquerque, NM.
Son of Shirley M. Knoell (Waarich), and Harold Jacob Knoell Sr., he was born July 9th, 1945 in Chicago, Il. He graduated Goshen Central High School and entered the Army shortly after, serving proudly during Vietnam. Receiving an Honorable Discharge from the Army, he started a career as a Truck Driver that took him into retirement after 40 plus years. Whatever the haul was, he was proud to take it wherever it needed to go throughout the United States. Being a Truck Driver was his passion which everyone knew he valued and loved.
He was preceded to heaven by his mother and father, his brother Craig Knoell, and his sister Carol Ludlow.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Romelia Knoell, his daughter Abigail Eddingfield, his son Jonathan Knoell and daughter-in-law Ashli Knoell. His 5 grandchildren: Nathanael Knoell, Ezekiel Eddingfield, Elijah Eddingfield, Elianna Eddingfield, and Xander Knoell. His brother Keith Knoell, and sisters: Brenda Cosner, Melanie Krieger, and Deborah Brignoni.
Harold was a deeply beloved husband, father, brother, and Grandpa. His passing was sudden and unexpected but quick, just like he always hoped it would be.
While we lost our most beloved, many have lost a friend and loved one in him. He has been a rock to many, a master at sarcastic humor, a handy man, a provider, a teacher, and the best listener. There was so much more to him than just husband, dad, and grandpa though to us that was his greatest rolls - he was also a friend, a brother, a brother-in-law, an avid Christian believer, and the list goes on and on.
We invite you to share pictures or memories. It was his wish that we would laugh and reminisce and smile together during this time.
A celebration of life services will be on May 3rd, 2024, starting at 5pm at the Daniels Funeral Home located at 4310 Sara Rd, Rio Rancho NM.
