HELEN ELAINE HUGHES (GOODMAN) passed away Monday August 29th, 2011 at Skies Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Albuquerque, NM after a long, courageous battle with Leukemia. She is survived by her loving husband, Eugene A. Hughes of the home; sons, Kelvin Pinder and wife Marsha of Sheridan, WY, Kent Pinder and wife Debby of Laramie, WY, Curtis Pinder and wife Linda of Sheridan WY; step-son, Eugene J. Hughes of Sun River, MT; step-daughters, Doris Hughes of Kernersville, NC, Delores (Zip) Ashby of Greensboro, NC; two brothers, Walter Goodman and wife Phyllis of Story, WY, William Goodman and wife Norma of Sheridan, WY; sister, Rose Zowada and husband John of Sheridan, WY; three granddaughters, Brittani Piesik and husband Tyler of Gillette, WY, Nicole Pinder of Butte, MT, Ambreanna Pinder of Cheyenne, WY; grandsons, Jacob Asmussen of Sheridan, WY, Adam Pinder of Laramie, WY; two great granddaughters, Kylie Phipps of Gillette, WY, McKayla Pinder of Cheyenne, WY; step-grandchildren, Randy McCoy of Albuquerque, NM, Jeremy McCoy and wife Jessica of Folsom, CA, Heather Kho of Albuquerque, NM, Josh Ashby and wife Crystal of Randleman, NC, Barry Ashby of Greensboro, NC; two step-great-granddaughters, Mya Linda McCoy of Albuquerque, NM, Olivia Rae Ashby of Randleman, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Henry Goodman, Robert Goodman; four sisters, Rachel Schmidt, Freeda Kaufman, Ann Vick, Geraldine Lower. She was born on July 11, 1933 in Sheridan, WY to Henry & Katherine Goodman. She was a long time resident of Sheridan, WY; employed for 24 years at Boyd��?�s Supermarket and retired from the Sheridan Press. She truly loved her husband as they were best friends & soul mates. She worshiped and loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. She also enjoyed cross-stitching, gardening, crossword puzzles, traveling & spending time with her family & friends. She will be missed dearly by all of us as she was truly one in a million. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Presbyterian Health Care Foundation, Joe Rizza, P. O. Box 2666, Albuquerque, NM 87125. Please designate your contribution for HOSPICE.
