Helen Louise Maharg

MAHARG -Helen Louise Maharg, 88, went on her last journey home to meet her Lord Jesus Christ, on Wednesday September 17, 2008. She passed away in the loving care of her family at home; she was born July 24, 1920 in Lima, Ohio to Harry A. Martin and Louisa Jane Holley. She is preceded by her parents; sisters Alice Marie and Janet; and brothers James and Harry Jr. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She is survived by son Dean Maharg and wife Ethel, and daughter Earlene Wolfe and husband Dale Raup; grandchildren, Troy, Dena, Augusta Maharg and her fianc�?© Lee West, Jason Wolfe and his fianc�?© Leah Knipprath; and great grand daughter Nyssa Maharg; nieces, Holly Morris and her sons Conrad and Spencer Morris, Barbara McMillin and family, Patty Dixon and family, and nephew Carl "Shorty" Keller, Jr. and family; as well as several other nieces and nephews. Helen worked for 20 years at the VA Medical Center where she was dedicated to serving veterans. She seized every travel opportunity that came her way, including 3 trips to the Holy Land. Helen's greatest accomplishments were her life as mother, a career as a Registered Nurse and her never ending faith and love of Jesus Christ. We would like to especially thank the staff and nurses from Presbyterian Hospice for their gentleness, kindness and loving care of Mom, as well as the family, during her final months.
