Helen Ross

ROSS_Helen Ross, 79, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2009. Helen was born January 11, 1921 the daughter of James L. and Flora Anderson Ross in Jackson, Tennessee. She had worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Metropolis Water Reclamation District of Chicago before retiring and coming to New Mexico. She was a member of the NAACP. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, James and Flora Ross. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Bessie Lynch and husband Joseph of Milwaukee, WI, Rose St. John of Cleveland, OH, Andre De Cordova and wife Yoshi of San Mateo, CA, Foster Williams, Jr. of Chicago, IL, Charles Montgomery of Painsville, OH, and James Montgomery of Memphis, TN; and one grandniece, Shirley Turner. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 1:00 PM followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho.
