Henry Imre Lafferton, 73, of Bloomfield, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011. He was born on May 25, 1938, to Henrick and Margit (Varga) Lafferton in At?¡, Hungary. Henry was a Hungarian immigrant, a product of the Hungarian Revolution when Russia invaded Hungary and many Hungarians fled for their lives. He came to America in 1956 and became a nationalized American. He took his American citizenship seriously and was passionate about many things such as traveling, camping, hunting, fishing, and farming, to name a few. Henry was an outdoorsman at heart. He will be remembered by all as an excellent provider; a man with a true work ethic; a person with a heart for life and nature; and a father and grandfather who could make his family laugh with a mere twinkle of his eye. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Our Henry was truly nature's own.
Henry is survived by his wife, Debera Lafferton; son, Henry James; daughters, Sandra Marie and Jacqueline Margit; sister, Margit Uhasz; and four granddaughters, Andrea Marie, Mary Katherine, Isabel Margit and Elizabeth.
