Hollis "Johnny" Davison
Age 85, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. He was born in Hardin, TN on February 1, 1930 to James William "Jim" Davison and Rose America Clausel Davison of the Swift Community in Hardin County, TN. Hollis attended school in Hardin County and later in Osceola, AR where the family moved to in the 1940's. He worked with his father and three older brothers in farm work until he entered the U.S. Army 1948-1955, serving in the European area including Germany. Upon his discharge, Hollis worked in the Dry Cleaning profession and later became the owner of his own business. Hollis was married to his wife Wanda Ferguson and became parents of their son, Douglas J. Davison. Hollis later married Rose Stonein 1965, making their home in the area of Fort Collins and Denver, CO. Hollis was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bernis Davison and Luther Davison; half-brothers Clemon Hendon, Elvis Hendon Reed, James Arthur Davison; half-sisters, Lera Jane Bevis, Flossie Owen, and Lorene O'Neal. Hollis is survived by his wife Rose Davison; children, Doug Davison, Diane Schoonmaker,Carolyn Stone, Steve Stone, Mike Stone; 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; brother, Dewey Davison and Kenneth Davison; and sister, Debbie Robertson. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Wyoming Chapel.
