Howard D. Krueger, 83, of Farmington died Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Kindred Hospital in Albuquerque. Howard was born September 10, 1926 in Blue Hill, Nebraska to parents Charles and Clare Krueger. He married Mary Maxine in 1946. He retired after many years in Civil Service. Howard served his country in the US Army and received the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal and the Good Conduct Medal; he was very proud of his country. In his retirement he participated in many volunteer church activities. He was always willing to help when needed in his church, and in the community. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and a son Dennis. Survivors include his wife Mary Maxine, his son William and wife Karen, 3 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren; his sister Doris and numerous cousins and friends. Cremation will take place and memorial services will be held Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 7455 Foothills Drive in Farmington with Pastor Gary Thur officiating. Inurnment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 East Main St. in Farmington.
