JONES-Hunter P. Jones, 73, of Edgewood, passed away July 17, 2010 at his residence. He was born February 7, 1937 in Buffalo, Texas to Percell and Ethel Jones. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Jimmie Sue Roach Jones, four children, Lisa Jones, Teresa and husband Ed LeGalley, Michael and wife Amy Jones and Kelly and wife Suzan Jones; grandchildren, Kristina, Shae and Dean LeGalley, Hunter D., Ezekiel, Deckland, Lawson and Maren Jones and sister, Pauline and husband Craig Graham. An army veteran, he loved the outdoors, traveling and spending time with his family. Mr. Jones was an excellent teacher and mentor, always leading by example. He was a great inspiration to his family as well as the many lives he touched. He was involved and respected in many civic organizations including the Albuquerque Jaycees, Texas Farm Bureau, Boy Scouts and his Church. While several found him to be one of few words, his words carried great wisdom and encouragement. His support for his family served as a source of comfort and inspiration for his children as they strive to achieve their goals with the values of honesty, respect and his sense of service. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Graveside services for Mr. Jones will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, 10:30 am Santa Fe National Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 10:30-12:30 on Saturday, July 24, 2010 to celebrate the life of Hunter inside the sunroom at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel.
