Ida Fierro

FIERRO- Ida Fierro, age 98, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, went home to the Lord, Thursday, November 5, 2009, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 28, 1911 in Ocate, NM and was a resident of Bernalillo, where she was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Antonio "Tony" Fierro; and sons, Andres Guillermo, Carlos and Norberto. Ida is survived by her loving children, Margaret Short and husband Robert, Pauline Fierro-Rice, Anthony Ray Fierro; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren, who she loved so very much. Also surviving are her brother, Eloy Arguello; sister, Josie Trujillo; sister-in-law, Beatrice Arguello; and other numerous relatives and friends. Ida will be greatly missed by all. Margaret and Robert Short devoted 18 years caring for Ida after Robert retired from the Air Force. Casket Bearers will be Carlos Fierro, Jr., Nathan Fierro, Rick Fierro, Robert A.
