Imogene Keith, our precious angel here on Earth, passed from this life
Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010. She was born Nov. 5, 1929, in Elk City Okla., to
James Monroe Hastings and Eda Gertrude Phillips Hastings, she fourth of 11
children. She married J.C. Keith when she was 16 years old and he was 18 years old.
They were married June 5, 1946, in Albuquerque. They were sealed for time and all eternity on April 22, 1957, in the Mesa Arizona Temple. Together they had six children, three sons and three daughters. They have 21 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Imogene was loved and cherished by all who knew her. She worked beside her husband raising a family and surviving all of us. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and her favorite call was serving in the Primary. She especially loved children and they loved her. Her testimony of the Savior touched many lives. We will all miss her. Precious memories of our sweet mother will cast their gentle glow to light our paths wherever we go. She was preceded in death by her son Jeff in 1976, her son Bill in 2009; and
by two grandchildren, Sandy Cones and Justin Keith. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, J.C. Keith; her daughters, Twila (David Randleman), Gayle (Rudy Ferris) and Janie (Russell Elliott); her son, Tom (Nancy Keith); her brothers, Manuel and Roy Hastings; her sister, Ireta Burnett; and her adopted son, Tommy Bolack. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today, Sept. 15, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 400 W. Apache St. in Farmington. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, 1606 N.
