Age 85, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017. She was born in Peoria, IL on November 28, 1931, to John and Otha (Brown) Kreuch. She was preceded in death by her husband Forrest Kyle Stewart Sr.; her son Forrest Kyle Stewart Jr.; and her parents John and Otha (Brown) Kreuch. Ina is survived by her son, Eric (and Donna) Stewart of Rio Rancho, NM; her grandchildren Tanya Drummond, Forrest Kyle Stewart III, Daniel Stewart, Shaylynn Moore, Amanda Malherbe, Jennifer Adams, and Ian Stewart; and her 16 great grandchildren. Ina, better known as “Momo”, loved and enjoyed her family. Ina was a resident of New Mexico for over 60 years and loved every minute of it. Ina was a woman of faith and was very involved with both the St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in the North Valley and the St. Martin’s Hospitality Center in downtown Albuquerque. Ina was an avid athlete, who enjoyed decades of race-walking with the NM Race Walkers. Ina was also a Senior Olympian receiving multiple medals in the standing long jump and the javelin events, and was even named the New Mexico Senior Athlete of the Year. She also played basketball on the 'A League of Their Own' senior women's team, the ‘Cruisin’ Big Dogs’, and celebrated the team’s gold medal at the Senior Olympics National Championships in 2015. Services include a memorial viewing on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Home-Sara Chapel and a funeral service on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 11:00 am at the St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. Interment will take place at Vista Verde Memorial Park after service. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Ina's honor to St. Martin's Hospitality Center or St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.
