Irene D. Benally

May 2, 1950 - July 16, 2010 Irene D. Benally, 60, of Lake Valley, died Friday, July 16, 2010, in Farmington, New Mexico. Irene was born May 2, 1950, in Shiprock, New Mexico, to Tom and Bertha Dayzie. She graduated from Ganado High School and married her husband of 39 years, Ned T. Benally Jr., in Kayenta, Arizona, in 1971. Irene was employed by the Navajo Nation, TANAF Program and the Division of Labor Services. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Tom and Bertha Dayzie; grandparents, Herbert and Pearl Dayzie; brother, Timothy Dayzie and Garrett Dayzie; and sisters, Dorinda Dayzie and Pearline Dayzie. She is surrvived by her husband, Ned T. Benally Jr.; daughters, Natasha Benally, Nadine Benally, Nichole Benally and Alana Jardon;son, Nathan T. Benally; brothers, Samuel Dayzie, James Dayzie, and Eugene Dayzie; and sisters, Dorothee Dayzie-Enos, and Bernadette Dayzie-Engler. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M., Friday, July 23, 2010, at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, in Shiprock, New Mexico. Pastors Robert Dayzie and Joe Dayzie will officiate.
