Memorial services are pending in San Diego for Irma Katherine Farr (nee King), 87, who died Thursday, July 1, in a Gallup, NM, rest home.
Mrs. Farr, who lived 25 years in Gustine, CA, moved with her husband to New Mexico in 1986. A resident of Jamestown, NM, at her death, she attended schools in and around Kingsburg, CA. She was born in Dawt, Ozark County, Missouri. In Gustine she worked 18 years as secretary to the chief of police and dispatcher for the Gustine Police and Fire Departments. She loved reading and enjoyed music, her grandchildren, and bird-watching.
She is survived by her husband Frank of Jamestown; a daughter, LaVonne Brunskill of Turlock, CA; two sons, John King of San Diego and Peter Pawela of Crownpoint, NM; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by step-children and step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen King and Ethel Rogers King. Mrs. King lived many years in Kingsburg.
