Isabel Montoya

MONTOYA - Isabel Montoya, a resident of Albuquerque for the past 32 years, went home to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 11, 2011. She was a beloved wife, mother, and sister and devoted to her family. Her loving husband Eugene preceded Isabel in death as did her beloved son, Reverend Eugene Montoya, bothers, Ernesto, Brother Luke, Ubaldo, Fred, Sammy, and Jake, and sisters, Stella and Francis. Her sisters Adeline and Rosina survive Isabel. She remained faithful to the Lord throughout her life, trusting Him in her times of sorrow and loneliness. Isabel was born in Santa Fe New Mexico, but had the opportunity to live in Indianapolis, Indiana, Tokyo, Japan and Honolulu, Hawaii. She always had stories to share and was very generous to her family and friends. Isabel was known for loving to drive, her sense of humor, and a great bridge game. The family would like to thank HavenCare and the Aspen House, especially Shauna, Lisa, Bernadette, and Susan for their loving care and compassion for Isabel the last three years. A Rosary will be held Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 7:00 pm in Albuquerque at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Friday, May 27, 2011 at 10:00 am at Saint Ann’s Church, 511 Alicia St, Santa Fe. Interment will follow at 2:15 pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Reception immediately following at the American Legion Club, 1601 Berry Ave., Santa Fe, NM.
