Isabella worked for the Barth Mercantile in St. Johns, AZ, in Magdalena, NM at the Magdalena Cafe owned by her sister, Rose and Aurora's Beauty Shop, owned by her sister, and in Williams, AZ for a physician that gave her the love of taking care of people. Later, she volunteered at the Veteran’s Hospital in Truth or Consequences, and valued the many friends she met; her smile was contagious. An accident early in her life gave her many medical challenges, although that did not stop her from walking 5 miles per day to talk to friends, buy groceries, or go to church. She would often visit the many denominations in town and said they all loved God. Her faith was strong and she loved her crosses. With her many challenges that she encountered, she believed that God was in control at all times. In 2016 she encountered additional medical disabilities that left her unable to continue her daily activities; giving up her independence was difficult for her. Although she didn’t want to depend on others, she met wonderful friends at Good Sam. While residing there, she loved playing Bingo, the music, and dressing up for the special holidays. Leaving her 3 puppies brought sadness to her life, but she always got an update on their activities. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Good Samaritan Society in Socorro for the care they gave her. Her last 2 years couldn’t have been spent in a more caring place.
