Israel Garcia Ramirez

Israel Garcia, 68, of Bloomfield passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at his home in Bloomfield surrounded by his family. Israel was born May 27, 1942 in Chihuahua, Mexico the son of Paz Garcia and Maria Ramirez. He moved to San Juan County in 1979 and later to Bloomfield. Israel worked as an oilfield tank painter. He loved family get togethers and just being with his family. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. He is survived by Helen Harmon of Bloomfield, daughters Teresa, Angelica and Rosa; son Rene, 6 brothers Memo, Pa, Joel, Rojelio, Victoriano and Mauricio 2 sisters Luz Porras and Isadora Palomino; 13 grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews. Israel was preceded in death by his parents Paz and Maria Garcia. Rosary will be Friday, July 2, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 307 N. Church St. in Bloomfield. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 307 N. Church St. in Bloomfield with Father Bob Matthieu as celebrant. Interment will follow the mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Bloomfield. Pallbearers are Rene Garcia, Rodolfo Garcia, Paz Garcia, Maurico Garcia, Memo Garcia, Victor Garcia, Jr., Alex Garcia and Paul Harmon. Honorary pallbearers are Victor Garcia, Sr., Joe Garcia, Rojelio Garcia, Fidel Sanchez, Noe Monroy, Mario Tinico, Julian Porras, Isidaro Palomino, Billy Gunnell and Kerry Ackerson.
