Jack Roger Brewer

Jack Roger Brewer, 87, passed away December 4, 2020 in Albuquerque, New Mexico due to natural causes.        

            Jack was born on September 26, 1933 in Chadron, Nebraska to John and "Till" Brewer.  His father taught him at a young age to work hard, and he worked in the family grocery store, The Star Grocery, in his youth.  He enjoyed participating in sports and playing the trumpet in high school and graduated from Chadron High School in 1951.  From there he attended the University of Denver Business School, graduating in 1955 with a bachelor’s degree.

            While in college he met his future wife, Anne Louise Walter, and they were married July 6, 1956 In North Platte, Nebraska.  During their 64 years together, they had two children, John (Tracy) Brewer and Kathy (Greg) Harman.  They have also been blessed with 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

            Jack spent most of his life working as a Manager at Mountain Bell Telephone Company in Albuquerque. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, where he served in many capacities, including Bishop.  He was loved and held in high esteem by many.  He had a happy smile and a quick laugh.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He also enjoyed classical music and attended many symphony concerts and musicals with his wife, Anne. 

            Jack was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife, Anne, of Albuquerque; his son John (Tracy) of Albuquerque; his daughter Kathy (Greg) of Maryland; and his eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

            Arrangements have been made by Daniels Family Funeral Services of Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Jack was laid to rest at the Sandia Memory Gardens Cemetery in a private graveside service.
