McLAUGHLIN- Jack McLaughlin, age 88, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2010 in Albuquerque, NM. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during WWII and the Korean War. He received a Bachelor of Science from MU and was an Elder in the Mormon Church. He loved cooking, traveling, animals, the Broncos, sports, photography, staying fit and most of all loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a great conversationalist and a LOVER OF LIFE. Jack was a carpenter, a contractor, Director of the EPA fitness center in Denver, Superintendent of the Capitol building in Denver. During his retirement, he worked for Viking Cruise Lines and was a volunteer for the Animal Humane Society. Survivors include his children: Pam Barncastle, John and wife Neysa McLaughlin, Christina and husband Doug Grazier, and Mary Howell; six grandchildren: Shawn, Valerie, Ryan, Christopher, Danielle and Ronnie; fifteen great grandchildren; his brother, Jerry McLaughlin; and mother of his children, Jean McLaughlin. He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Timothy McLaughlin. A Memorial Service is planned for early 2011. An official announcement will be made at a later time. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack’s name can be made to your local Humane Society. Jack will be missed by his many, many friends and family members. Jack's care has been entrusted to:
