In Loving Memory of Jack Wayne Barnard Jr.
Jack Wayne Barnard Jr., lovingly known as Wayne, was born in March of 1966 to Jack Wayne Sr. and Evalynn Barnard. He grew up in Paradise Hills, where he created cherished memories with his siblings that he held close throughout his life.
Wayne passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, at the age of 60, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering support for his family.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Jack Wayne Sr., his mother Evalynn Barnard, his brother, Douglas Scott Sr. and his nephew Austin Barnard.
He is survived by his sister, Amy Nafus (Brandon), nephew Tyler Nafus (Ela), niece, Jocelynn (Brandon); sister-in-law- Roberta; nephews, Douglas and Troy, niece, Reagan; great-nephews, Aaron, Nolan, Scotty, Jaye and Braxton and his great-nieces, Gracie, Aaliyah, Mia, Adalynn, Hayden, and coming soon Brooklynn.
Although Wayne had no children of his own, his heart and energy were devoted to his family. He played an integral role in the lives of his sister’s children and their children, as well as the nieces and nephews from both his sister’s and brother’s families.
A beloved uncle and great-uncle, Wayne gave freely of his time, resources, and wisdom, always striving to offer guidance and hope. His dedication extended to his cherished relationships with his mom, sister, aunts, and many cousins, all of whom he loved deeply.
Wayne’s kindness, selflessness, and ability to inspire those around him will be profoundly missed. His legacy of love and generosity will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
To the youngest members of his family, Wayne leaves this message:
“Always remember the importance of education, it’s the key to unlocking the world and achieving your dreams. Be kind, not just to those around you, but especially to those who need it most, including your family. Your kindness has the power to change someone’s day, or even their life. And above all, give to this world what you hope it will give back to you. Whether it’s love, understanding, or hope, what you put out into the world will find its way back to you in the most meaningful ways.”
Carry this message with you as you grow and know that I’ll always be cheering you on.
With all my love, Uncle Wayne
Wayne’s love and generosity will forever be remembered by his family and friends.
