Jacobo Zamora

Jacobo Zamora, age 86, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 10, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.  Jake was proceeded in death by his wife of 44 years, Mercedes Zamora, his sons Paul Zamora & Philip Zamora, Beloved brothers and sister, and his Mother Teresita & Father Alfredo Zamora.  He is survived by his sister Annie & husband Ralph Sandoval; Son Anthony & wife Marie Zamora; Son Clarance wife Elaine Apodaca, Daughter Eva Smith, Grandchildren-Liana Vicidomini, Philip Zamora Jr., Yvette Zamora, Jacob Zamora, Amanda Zamora, Audrey Savage, Sarah Zamora;  Eight Great Grand Children, & Countless nieces, nephews, and those who weren't related by blood but who were family all the same.

Jacobo Zamora was born in Jarales, NM on March, 21, 1932.  He was raised to be a hard worker and that is exactly who he was.  He raised his children to be the same way.  He was always willing to open his home and heart for those in need.  Often housing more than fit comfortably in their small home.  It may have been full of people but it was always full of love too.  He was a devout Catholic, attending mass every morning.  Family and friends were the most important things to him.  He always wanted to make sure the people in his life knew they were loved and welcome.  

Jake will be greatly missed.  We have shared many loving years with such a special and giving man  We know that he wants us to remember him fondly and to celebrate him rather than shed tears for him.  Remember the love Jake shared with all of you and try to honor him by sharing the same love he gave each of those he came in contact with throughout his life.

We will celebrate his life at San Ysidro Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 with a Rosary at 9:00AM.  Service to follow at 10:00AM.  He will be laid to rest along side his wife Mercedes following the service, concluding with a reception in the San Ysidro parish hall.
