Jacqueline Jensen, 89, passed away November 4, 2014. She was born on August 13, 1925, in Cambridge, MA to Dr. Frank and Rose Lapidus. Jackie is survived by her daughters, Sari Jensen of Rio Rancho, and Donna Thomas and husband, Leslie Thomas of Alachua, FL; her sister, Babette and husband, Morton Gelles of Newton, MA; two grandchildren, Clinton and Laurine; three great-grandchildren, Jaimie, Jaylee and Quinton; numerous nieces and nephews; a host of friends and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, “Billy” William Arthur Jensen. Jackie moved to New Mexico four years ago from Clearwater, FL, where she was an accomplished comedic actress in live theatre and television commercials. She was an audience favorite. Jackie enjoyed spoiling her pets, Bijoux, Gigi, Cleo and Tootsie. She was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 2400 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, NM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jackie’s memory to Southeastern Guide Dogs for the Blind; the Humane Society; your local public television station, or the Jewish National Fund (JNF).
