James (Jimbo) Marcus Baggerly, age 78, passed away at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday, December 10, 2022.  He was born January 1, 1944 to Michael Anthony and Rita Baggerly in Gallup, New Mexico.  He was a graduate of Valley High School, Class of 1961.  He attended University of Albuquerque and Bear School Automotive.  He proudly served in the Air Force National Guard from June 19, 1962 until August 21, 1968, during the Vietnam War, achieving rank of SGT/E-4.  He married Veronica Abeyta in 1987.  He was a licensed Real Estate Broker/Appraiser for Baggerly and Company for 53 years.  He was a member of the National Association of Realtors and Appraisers.  Servicing Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Las Cruces, NM and Los Angeles, CA for over 53 years.  Jim grew up attending church at St. Therese and other Catholic and Christian Churches.  He attended Sagebrush remotely during the pandemic and continued until his passing.  He supported World Vision and Boys Ranch of New Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rita and Michael Baggerly; brother, John Baggerly; and his in-laws, Arturo and Teresa Abeyta.

Jim is survived by his wife of 35 years, Veronica Baggerly; son and daughter-in-law, David and Yvette Baggerly; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jason Ford; step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Doris and Ken Roybal; sister; JoAnn Baggerly; grandchildren, Christopher Duran, Breanna Ford, Ryan Ford, Brandon Baggerly and Tayla Baggerly, Joseph, Jonathon and Kenneth Roybal; in-laws, Olivia and Eliseo Armijo and Robert and Maida Abeyta; and pets, Tinker-Bell and Ivory.

Pallbearers will be:  Christopher Duran, Breanna Ford, Brandon Baggerly, Ryan Ford, Tayla Baggerly and Ken Roybal.

Services will be held Friday, December 23, 2022, 11:00 AM, Daniels Family Funeral Services – Southern Chapel, 2400 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.  Interment to follow at 2:00 PM, Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, NM 87501.

In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity in Jim’s honor.

Thank you for all that you taught me, to be a good person, son, a father myself.  I will miss you all the days of my life.  I love you, David.
