James Bennett

James B Bennett entered into rest on January 26th, 2022. He was born in Erie Pennsylvania to John Buddy Bennett and Betty Jane Bennett (Learn) on May 28th, 1951.

Growing up in Erie, James attended Harborcreek High School, where he graduated with his high school diploma. He went on to serve in the U.S Air Force where he served in the Vietnam war. James served the country for twenty years before retiring as a Master Sergeant. He earned many decorations in his career, including Meritorious Service, the Airforce commendation, and the Airforce Achievement decorations.

James was a successful business owner for 28 years, and enjoyed sports, sports, and more sports!

He married the love of his life, Betty Jane Loehle, on March 5th, 1986, in Albuquerque NM. They enjoyed a long 35-year marriage together.

James was preceded in death by his father, Bud Bennett, and mother Betty Bennett.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Bennett, brother David Bennet and wife Patricia Bennett, Sister Janet Saville and husband Michael Saville, daughter Michele Ortiz and husband Abraham Ortiz, granddaughters, Marissa Phelps, Annalise Phelps, Aliyah Ortiz, and great-granddaughter, Marisol Escamillia, and many nieces and nephews.

 

Services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, February 1st at Daniels Family Funeral Services Wyoming Chapel located at 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque NM, 87109.
