James (Jim) William Malouff, 74, passed away on August 14, 2010 in Kirtland. He was born in Capulin, CO to William and Lyvonne (Franklin) Malouff on May 12, 1936. He spent his childhood in Capulin and attended school at Saint Joseph’s Catholic School. At a very young age Jim was introduced to the trade of business, which he followed into his adult life. On November 1, 1954, Jim married Rose Smith in Capulin, CO. Shortly after their marriage, Jim and Rose moved to Costilla, NM. In Costilla, he ran a saw mill, owned Malouff’s Store and Station, logged, farmed, and owned his own trucking company. At the age of 48 his family moved to Kirtland and established Malouff Produce, which he operated for ten years. His last business aw Malouff Auto Parts and Salvage, which is still successful and doing well. Jim loved his work, and was quite the business man. Jim is survived by his wife Rose Malouff and their seven children, Eugene Malouff of New Lisbon, Wisconsin, Marion Malouff of Alamosa, CO, Mark Malouff if Kirtland, Edward (Tina) Malouff of Billings, Montana, Jeanine (Gary) Hensley of Sanford, CO, Karen (Rick) Reichhoff of Mauston, Wisconsin, and Raymond Malouff of Kirtland. He is also survived by his siblings, Bart Malouff of Kirtland, Margret Muniz of Capulin, CO, David (Cecilia) Malouff of Kirtland and Suzzette (Joe) Romero of Kirtland. Jim is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren an many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, William and Lyvonne Malouff, a son, Jimmy Daniel Malouff, his sister-in-law, Liz Malouff and a brother-in-law, Sandy Muniz. A visitation will be held at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 18th from 5:00 " 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 20th at Saint Joseph’s Parish in Capulin CO at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Capulin Cemetery in Capulin following the service.
