James L. Brown

James L. Brown, age 61, resident of Corrales, NM since 1985 passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023. James was born in Albuquerque, NM on Wednesday, May 09, 1962.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rita Brown, their three children: daughter Christiana, husband Will Hopkinson, son; Jared, wife Melanie and daughter Alyssa, partner Moses.

He was the little brother of Edward Brown, Jr (Eva), Ida Esquibel (Joe), Robert Brown (Cynthia) and Gus Brown (Julie).

James was in the electrical trade for over 40 years, working for Craig Electric then DKD Electric, LLC, where he became a partner of the company.

He was a devoted husband and father who loved what he did in construction and always wanted to help others.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, and gardening. He was a diehard fan of the Dallas Cowboys!

He will be deeply missed and always remembered. Strength in heart.

Visitation will be held, Wednesday, July 5, 2023, 6:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services – Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road, Rio Rancho, NM. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 6, 2023, 10:00 a.m. at San Ysidro Catholic Church, 5015 Corrales Rd, Corrales, NM.

Pallbearers will be David Rodriguez, Robert George, Alfonso Maestas, Les Vallejos, David Dropinski, Kurt Forsberg, Carlos Montano and Jim Chandler.
