James William McConaghy

McCONAGHY" James William McConaghy, 73, died on October 16, 2010. He was born December 4, 1936 in Little Rock, Arkansas. James (Jimmy) is survived by his wife Janet Lee McConaghy. They were married on February 19, 1957 in Washington D.C. He was in the Navy Seabees in the 1950's and later joined Carpenters Local #1319 as a journeyman carpenter. Jimmy especially enjoyed music, chess, and rebuilding his model A Ford. He and Janet had two sons Michael Scott McConaghy (Suzanne) and Anthony (Tony) Kent McConaghy (Jeannette). Their grandchildren include, Laura Holt (Greg), Elizabeth McConaghy, Katie McConaghy, Rebecca McConaghy, Sebastian Gomez, and Carolina Gomez. Other family members are Juanita Melton (sister), Ocie Curtis (sister), Irvin and Odessia McConaghy (brother and sister in-law), and Linda and Ken Larkin (sister in-law and husband). Memorial contributions in his name designated for Thanksgiving dinners (his favorite holiday) should be sent to the Albuquerque Rescue Mission, 525 Second St. S.W., Albuquerque, NM 87102.
