It is with a heavy heart that we say Jim has passed...James Philip Mura, born April 11, 1945 passed away on June 6, 2023. Jim was the son of James Joseph Mura and Helen Bajek Mura of Wallington, New Jersey. Jim married in 1975, he was the beloved husband of Janet and the father of the dearly loved Kathryn. Jim was a dedicated teacher at Ramsey High School for 20 years and had a BA and a MEd from Seton Hall University, and a MA in English from Penn State. He loved teaching and challenging his students. Jim loved the theatre; in his life he had seen over 800 plays, on and off Broadway. He enjoyed and appreciated Mother Earth. He was a camper, skier, and swimmer. In August 1988, he suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury and had to retire. For 35 years he fought to walk, to talk, to be as he was.
