Obituary

Janetta Stowe went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Alan Stowe; her parents, Dennis and Rubye McKinley; and her brothers, Duane and Gary McKinley.

Janetta’s greatest joy was being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Her beloved family includes Phill and Tracey Stowe; Keith and Nyleen Stowe; Stacie and Jimmy Belcher and their sons, Hunter and Bradly; Kristi and Tom Simmons and their children, Connor, Alan, and Kaelyn.

Her love was not limited to her immediate family; many were blessed by her ability to love freely, and many considered her to be their grandmother as well. Kristina Klein and her children, Seth Martinez and Cheza Mackey, and Ashli Pachecho and her son, James Hampton, are among those lucky individuals who knew they were loved regardless of biology.

Janetta’s love also extended to Tina Bibiano, her caregiver, who has been a constant presence in our lives for the past 16 years; and Tina returned that love 10-fold back to Mom. Tina’s smile, laugh, and warmth filled our home and uplifted Mom’s heart with every visit. Mom was forever grateful that God brought Tina into her life, and she will always be a special and cherished part of our lives.

Janetta loved spending time by the ocean, listening to the waves and exploring the shore. No seashell escaped her inspection. Her adventurous spirit and playful sense of humor shone brightest at Disneyland, where she delighted in seeing whether she could make her children dizzy on the teacup rides. She also loved the thrill of a roller coaster—the faster, the better.

Though she will be deeply missed, her family knows that in the moment of her passing, a joyous reunion awaited her in heaven. There is comfort in knowing she is reunited with those who have gone before and in the knowledge that the tears we shed on earth each represent a beautiful memory that will live in us until we are reunited.
