Long-time resident of Los Alamos and recent resident of Albuquerque, Jean S. Jones, passed away peacefully in the wee hours of April 9, 2019, one month after her 94th birthday. Jean was born in Springville, NY. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Buffalo, where she met her husband of 65 years, Llewellyn. Jean and Llew moved to Los Alamos in 1951. Jean loved hiking, traveling, gardening, and reading. She is survived by her five children, David Jones, Barbara Trujillo, Susan Jones, Cindy Jones, and Fran Jones-Lory; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Barbara Mahl, who still resides in Springville.
