Jeannie Marie McKee (Boyd), age 78, of Corrales, New Mexico, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. She was born on November 15, 1947, in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Jeannie graduated from Farmington High School in Farmington, New Mexico, and went on to attend the University of New Mexico, where she became a Registered Nurse. She dedicated her career to the care and well-being of others.
Jeannie was married to Leslie (Larry) L. McKee III for 47 wonderful years, sharing a life filled with love, faith, and family.
Above all, Jeannie loved the Lord with all her heart. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life and shared that with her family and friends. She was a devoted wife and the love for her family knew no bounds.
She had a passion for gardening and landscaping, transforming every space around her into something beautiful. She had a keen eye for home design and was a talented artist who enjoyed creating various forms of artwork throughout the years. Her creativity was a reflection of the beauty she saw in the world and the love she poured into everything she did.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Boyd; mother, Ida Mae Loyd; step-father, Clifton Loyd; brother, Bill Boyd; sisters, Patsy Kay and Kathleen Ann Boyd; and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Jeannie is survived by her loving husband, Leslie (Larry) L. McKee III; her daughters, Ginger (& David) Sims, Tammy (& Mark) Minhinnick and Jennifer McKee; her grandchildren, Mindy (& Logan) Sims, Amie (& Justus) Adams, Madie Sims, Tess Minhinnick, and Jack Minhinnick; her great-grandchildren, Quinlan Sims, Luke Sims, Herschel Adams, and Maxine Adams; aunt, Juanita Stephens; and nephew, Bill Boyd.

Jeannie’s light, love, and creativity will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her. Her legacy of faith, family, and beauty will live on in the hearts of those she loved so dearly.
