Jeff E. Micono

Micono, Jeff E. Age 96, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1968, was called Home on Friday, June 27, 2014. He was born on October 10, 1917 in Borgofranco, Italy. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 72 years, Lillian Micono; two sons, Raymond and John. Jeff is survived by four sons and their spouses, Jeff and Mary Anne, Mark and Joyceln, Peter and Georgann and James and Narcissa; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Jeff served as a Fireman in New York City before moving west. He also was a veteran of World War II, having seen action in Europe from July 1943 to November 1945. He was an accomplished musician mastering the Trumpet, Guitar and Mandolin. Jeff also had a second career with USPS, serving until his retirement, as the first-ever carpenter appointed in New Mexico. He also served as an "Altar Boy" at the Felician Sisters Convent for many years. The recitation of the Rosary will be held at 9:00 am, with the celebration of the Mass following at 9:30 am, Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Convent Chapel, 4210 Meadowlark Lane SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
