Jeffrey Curtis Ordogne, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025 in Albuquerque, NM. He was 40 years old.
Jeff was born on December 6, 1984, in Morgan City, Louisiana. From an early age he had an amazing affinity for water and enjoyed snorkeling and eventually SCUBA diving, achieving the role of dive master. After graduation from Fontainebleau High School in Mandeville, La he earned an associate degree in Industrial Marine Electronics from South Louisiana Community College.
His special interest in electronic and mechanical areas was further developed as an electronic technician employed by Horneck Offshore Operators, Inc. for many years. After many years on the water, he moved to Albuquerque where he enjoyed working on automobiles and on computer networks.
He will be remembered for his loyal friendship, love of animals, an exceptional mind for all things mechanical and electronic. His curiosity was boundless. He was a person everyone could count on, be it friend or stranger. He was an easy person to love if you gave him enough time.
Jeff leaves behind his father, Paul Ordogne and Stepmother Carol, his sister, Amy (Ordogne) Brudis and husband Anthony, two nephews: Benjamin (6) and Jack (4) Brudis, Aunt Mary (Ordogne) Morella, Uncle Mark Ordogne, 3 stepsiblings and 4 cousins and their families who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kimberly LeBlanc Ordogne, paternal grandparents, dear friends and an aunt and uncle.
A celebration of life will be held on December 5, beginning at 6:00pm at The Press Club in Albuquerque. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate the life of a truly remarkable friend.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to your local food bank, if in New Mexico, The Roadrunner Food Bank. A cause that would truly reflect Jeff’s generosity of spirit.
Jeffrey’s hugs, warmth, generosity, and love will remain with all who were lucky enough to know him. Though he is gone from sight, he will never be gone from our hearts. He will always be remembered.
