Jennie R Devore

Devore, Jennie R 71, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at her home in Socorro. She was born in Socorro, NM on June 17, 1940 to George and Anna (Lopez) Silva. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Vernon Devore in 2005, and her brother, Gabriel Silva. Jennie was a lifelong resident of Socorro although she resided in Colorado for a brief time. She loved to cook and was always attending to her family, the perfect host at all the family gatherings. She enjoyed playing Bingo. Above all things Jennie loved and adored her grandchildren. Jennie is survived by her devoted daughter, April Devore and fiance, Gilbert Maestas; her loving grandchildren, Rose, Antonio, and Angelica; two great grandchildren, Nicholas and Deliah Rose; her sisters, Emma Garcia and husband, Benny; Maryann Torres and husband, Javier; and Helen Padilla; and her brother, Louie Silva.
